A Taste of Café 5845
The first cheese cafe in the world, Café 5845 was unveiled last July 24, 2010 at SM Mall of Asia North Living Seaside Boulevard area. The cafe is a project tie up of Kraft Foods Philippines (Kraft Eden Cheese) and Magsaysay Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts (MIHCA).
Café 5845 was the result of the Guinness World Record event held last December 14, 2009 that pulled off 5,845 cheese-infused dishes that beat the record of 4,668 dishes of India in 2007.
Café 5845will serve different menu everyday and will be featuring some of the dishes used in the record-breaking 5,845 dishes. It will also serve pasta such as Penne amatriciana with Shrimp & Mushroom, BBQ Pork w/ Cheesy Bechamel Sauce as one of the main courses. They also offer vegetarian pizzas and sandwiches such as Chicken and Cheese Panina. It would really be a unique and cheesy dining experience for all.
All-in-all the place is relaxing and classy with a European touch. The food is really good. It’s not only for cheese lover but for everyone. Just imagine the 5,845 cheese-infused dishes and I know you’ll love even one of it. Café 5845 cheese dishes are at affordable prices. But the down-side of Cafe 5845 is that, it will be open only until the end of August 2010. So hurry and visit Cafe 5845 and experience the record-breaking and first ever cheese cafe in the world.

The Guinness Marker found at the Magsaysay Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts (MIHCA) and Kraft Foods Philippines (KFP). After successfully pulling off 5,845 cheese-infused dishes this marker testifies to the Guinness World Record™ win of the Magsaysay Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts (MIHCA) and Kraft Foods Philippines (KFP) last December 14, breaking India’s record with only 4,668 in 2007.
